Dr. N. Osei Owusu

Dr. Nicodemus Osei Owusu is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management, School of Business, College of Humanities and Legal Studies, University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast, Ghana. Prior to his current position, he was Head for the Department of Management where he provided academic leadership and stewarded the mission and vision of the University for accelerating excellence in teaching, intellectual inquiry, engagement and professionalism.

As an academic and research professional, his research interest focus in the areas of Public Policy Analysis, Public Sector Management/Administration and Organizational Development. Dr. Owusu recent research focus is on effects of the community-based health planning and services on anemia and acute malnutrition amongst aged five and under in Ghana. He has teaching experience in Policy Analysis, Public Administration and Advanced Management and Organizational Behavior. He regularly supervises both undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Department of Management. He has previously served as a member of the School of Business Examinations Board and currently serving as the Board Member of Ethical Review Board, University of Cape Coast. He also serving Member of Programmes’ Accreditation Committee of the Department as well as a Member of The Audit Committee of Ghana Tertiary Education
Commission (GTEC).

Dr. Owusu has a number of publications in peered review journals and has been a reviewer on several public health journals. Dr. Owusu obtained his PhD in Health Policy Analysis and Management from Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, University of Southampton, United Kingdom (UK), a Master of Business in Management Information Systems, College of Economics, University of Brussels, Belgium, a Master in Public Administration, University of Leuven, Belgium, and a Master in International Economics from the University of Maastricht, The Netherlands. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Sociology at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi-Ghana.
