Dawn Blackhurst, DrPH

Dawn Blackhurst, DrPH is a Senior Biostatistician at Prisma Health in Greenville, South Carolina. She currently assists with design and statistical analyses of research projects for the Departments of Surgery and Anesthesiology.

Dr. Blackhurst has over 35 years of experience in applied epidemiologic and biostatistical data management and analysis. Her major clinical interests and responsibilities have focused on hospital and physician healthcare quality, clinical data registries, quality benchmarking and process improvement.  She has co-authored approximately 120 peer-reviewed publications and has analyzed data for over 300 clinical research and/or quality presentations.   

She earned her MSPH in Biostatistics and DrPH in Epidemiology at the Arnold School of Public Health, University of South Carolina.  In 2010, she was inducted into the national Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health.
